WATER POLLUTION

The pollutants that pollutes the water purity and have a bad effect on the all living organisms causes WATER POLLUTION.

CAUSES OF WATER POLLUTION

• Some chemical pollutants when added in the water it effects the soluble efficiency of water. For Example: when fertilizers which contain nitrogen and phosphorus elements which is use for the killing of fungicides and other harmful organisms but it excessive amount is very dangerous for the microorganisms.
• Some Bio chemical pollutants (e.g , some bacterial species,viruses) and large amount of fungi is grown on the water surface.It is because of the waste materials of living organisms in water.
• Radioactive pollution is also the main cause of the water pollution.The radioactive level is increased due to the human activities.The activities that radiate radiation like uses of radioactive materials(e.g uses of medicine, nuclear power plants)is the major source of Radioactive pollution.
• Petroleum solvents which contain benzene,xylene,toluene, ethylbenzene etc when added in the water it effects the water solubility and causes the water pollution.

EFFECTS OF WATER POLLUTION

• Drinking of polluted water have a bad effect on the human health
• The aquatic life is dead due to the polluted water.
• Crops are destroyed because of the polluted chemical water.
• The ecosystem is effected and the food chain specially in aquatic medium is disturbed.
• The soil is also polluted because from this water the fertility of the soil is decreases.

PRECAUTIONS

• Always use boil water before drinking it.
• Before pouring the industrial polluted water in the river firstly drained it and then pour it.
• Use less chemicals for the killing of bacteria and viruses
• Do not throw plastic and other wastage things in the river.
