POLLUTANTS

That substance which have a worst effect on human life and environment is called POLLUTANTS.

 There are two types of pollutants

• Primary Pollutants
• Secondary Pollutants

PRIMARY POLLUTANTS

That pollutants which are produce due to the activities of human and harmful for the atmosphere is called PRIMARY POLLUTANTS.

EXAMPLES

• When natural sources like coal,petroleum gas,wood etc are burnt in the air they pollute the air and causes air pollution

SECONDARY POLLUTANTS

That pollutants which produce by the reaction of primary pollutants with air directly and indirectly is called SECONDARY POLLUTANTS

EXAMPLE

• When carbon mono oxide react with air then it produces a smog type formation in the air which effects the human health badly
