THERMAL POLLUTION

The decay of water quality by the process that changes the normal temperature of the water is called Thermal Pollution

                                                  OR 

      Any change due to the temperature that had a bad                effect  on the ecosystem is called Thermal Pollution.

 CAUSES OF THERMAL POLLUTION

• Thermal pollution causes the increase the temperature of the water from its normal point.It reduce the efficiency of water to dissolve suitable amount of oxygen and many other gases which do not dissolve in hotter liquids.Thermal pollution also disturb the metabolism of living organisms in water because of the thermal temperature changes they store maximum amount of food for themselves which disturb the food chain of the whole environment.
• By the manufacturing and shut downing the power plants,the wishes adopted the special range of temperature from water which causes the death of these species.These decrease and increase of the thermal pollution of water is sometimes called THERMAL SHOCKS.
• Releasing the unnatural cold water from the reservoir can change the fishes and many invertebrates in the river.In big countries where the water have warmer temperature, there native fishes are eliminated because the reservoir eliminate the warm water to the surface of river instead of cold water which is suitable for these organisms.

CONTROL OF THERMAL POLLUTION

 Factory waste materials which are produces from the paper mills,chemical plants,steel mills can be controlled by the three methods.

•  Cooling towers which convert waste heat  release into the atmosphere so it do not disturb the temperature of the whole ecosystem.
• Waste heat is recycled and use for many domestic purposes so it does not as much harmful for the whole environment.
•  Water bodies are produced which are for cooling by the evaporation,convection and radiation.
